Rinse. Avocado Facial Cleanser 1 egg yolk 1/2 cup milk 1 avocado Beat the yolk of an egg until it is light and frothy, add a half cup of milk and the mashed half of a ripe peeled avocado. A blender is handy here, but if you don't have one, beat the mixture with a fork until you have a thin cream or lotion-like consistency. Apply on squares of cotton as you would any other cleanser. Natural Skin Care Recipes for Facial Toners: Rose Skin Toner 3 1/2 cups witch hazel 1/2 cup dried rose petals 5 sprigs of fresh rosemary Mix ingredients together making sure it is all blended well. Strain. Splash on your face after cleansing skin. Natural Skin Care Recipes for Moisturizers: Soft Skin Lotion 1 cup dried chamomile 4 tablespoons honey 1 cup milk 8 teaspoons wheat germ Steep chamomile in milk for a few hours. Honey Place all ingredients in a small, natural fabric bag (muslin and cheesecloth are great choices). Hang the bag under the faucet as you fill the tub, so running water disperses the goodness throughout your bath. Natural Skin Care Recipes for Scrubs & Masks: Honey Cleansing Scrub 1 Tbsp. honey 2 Tbsp. finely ground almonds ½ teaspoon lemon juice Blend & rub gently onto face. Rinse. Brown Sugar Body Scrub 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1 Tbsp. of orange oil or half a fresh squeeze orange 1 Tbsp. of vitamin E oil Mix brown sugar, orange oil/juice, and vitamin E oil in a bowl. Firming Face Mask 1 Tbsp. honey 1 egg white 1 teaspoon glycerin ¼ cup flour Blend & smooth over face and throat. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse Carrot Facial Mask 2-3 large carrots 4 1/2 Tbsp. honey Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait 10 minutes. Rinse. Apple Facial Mask 1 medium size apple (grated) 5 Tbsp. of honey Mix the grated apple with honey to make a mask. Smooth over skin then let sit for 10 minutes Rinse. Strawberry Facial Mask 8 - 9 whole strawberries 3 Tbsp. honey Using a fork mash strawberries into a pulp, add honey. Mix. Don't over blend or it will be runny. Apply directly to the skin, let sit for a few minutes then rinse off. Banana Facial Mask 2 medium bananas honey Mash bananas with a fork...don't over mash or it will be too runny. Mix with honey. Smooth over skin, let sit for 10 minutes, rinse. Peach Facial Mask 1 medium peach 1 Tbsp. honey oatmeal Cook peach until its soft, mash with a fork, add honey and oatmeal until it's a thick consistency. Apply to skin. Let sit for 10 minutes, rinse. Banana Bread Mask ½ really ripe mashed banana 2 Tbsp. ground oats milk or cream, add as necessary pinch nutmeg 2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour Whip ingredients together, adding cream or oat flour as necessary to get a smooth, paste-like consistency. Spread on clean face and leave for 5-10 minutes, then rinse. (Ground Oats: use rolled oats and a clean coffee grinder or blender to grind the flakes to a fine powder.)
